Interestingly, now that I am no longer working on the Great Green March http://greatgreenmarch.org, but instead working on my projects, and paid work; I seem to be happier, and still very busy and doing lots of things that I love. There is a better balance between things, and my overall focus on health and income has created a refound sense of groundedness.
Cybernetics:

Is a subject which has come to my attention following reading some material from a book called "Web of Life" by Fritjof Capra:
Until now I have had an assumption of what it is all about, but never a clear clean definition. The most interesting aspect of Cybernetics to me currently is its application as a tool to measure whether a system is prone to feedback loops, or if it is self-correcting.
Spiral Dynamics is an integral world-view promoted by the likes of Ken Wilber, Steve Macintosh and others. It describes various stages of cultural development along the path towards greater degrees of awareness / consciousness. While I do have my criticism which pertains primarily to the projected stages beyond our current one, the theory is quite solid when it comes to past-projections.
Here are some interesting visualizations collected by Kent Bye on Spiral Dynamics:

So, in my quest to really get good health this year, I'm directly applying some of the learnings I have had from last year. Last year, 2009, was the year of "12 paradigm shifts and a stronger (emotional) core".
Some serious catching up as required as some point, as I would like to go into what these 12 paradigm shifts ultimately were, and how it has affected me. In general it has really felt as if my primary objective: "a stronger core" really did come to be.
Well, this year has started off to a tee, I made my wish for: "perfect health", and the first thing I did, after more than a week of being low-energy and sick over new years, was to drop my daily yoga, and start up on coffee again... after my health started to drop again, and the first massage didn't do anything magical, I went to see Tito (friend and also good body worker). Tito did a good session on me, from which I feel a lot better, and I also got inspired to do some muscle building.
Yaay! I've been able to migrate my previous blog entries from blogspot into this new website, which means that I can now categorize, store and reference all my old material... youpie!!
For this new year: 2010, I am planning on focusing on the following things:
1. Perfect health [so at a minimum, no more physical ailments due to me just not balancing my life well enough with physical activity]
Hello everyone, Welcome to my new Chedal.org website. For now, this website will focus just on my Blog -- since this is the part of my website which has suffered the most in the last 2 years. I was using chedal.blogspot.com for my blog, but then I wanted more features, so I moved to Joomla. This was a good move in general, but Joomla has a horribly cumbersome process in place for adding new blog pages, which meant that I never really used it much. This led me to research good content management systems for myself, and my clients... Welcome to the present.
Here is an immensely insightful article on the (US) economy:

And here is an article that explains why the oil prices are currently in grave fluctuation:
here is a nice photo reel of a recent recycled fashion show I went to a few weeks ago.

Right, I've thought about where I am and where I want to go, and here is my plan for next year:
step1: do a vipassana 10 day silent-meditation course. I've been meaning to now for years and it's time I do it. I'm aiming for February 2009.
step2: follow a permaculture-teacher-training course. Even though I am not sure how this will help me in the short term; it is a vital component to all of my more recent developments. My goal is to find a course that starts in March, April or May 2009.
