Jackpot: The Door

So after a really nice time with fuzzy cuddle monsters in Manuel Antonio, Laure and I went back to San Jose to meet with a consulate. We met with the consulate of Thailand, who was an incredibly friendly human being. He explained to us the various visa's we could apply for and gave us a week to try and collect the various pieces to the magic puzzle we needed. We suddenly were sent on a scavenger / treasure hunt!

Our quest occupied the better part of several days, though we still did manage to find an amazingly good vegetarian restaurant in San Jose, and a trip to one of the  volcanoes: Poas [image left] and some yoga.

After 3 days in San Jose, we decided to spend out last week in Costa Rica near Arenal. A giant active [though currently dormant] erupting volcano.

Just last night however, we finally got our very last component to our visa, and confirmation that we will be awarded a one-year non-immigrant tourist visa to Thailand! This type of visa will allow us to exit and re-enter the country an unlimited amount of times and provide us with a solid base in Asia! We are too excited for words!

I'm planning on spending many months writing, and only a few hours in the week working on web-related projects. The environment should be especially inspirational and low-cost enough to facilitate a good conditions for lots of creativity!
