The candle lighter

Electrical spark along beams of steel
Turned and reformed
The wheels keep on turning
Churning our hearts, our minds
Testing faith
Patience in presence of forms in flesh
Bodies defined, reduced, explored

Heart open wide
Waiting, calling to hear its home
From a far, the one who burns
The candle lighter

With her thin fingers she makes no sound
As she walks and glides along my spine

From a distant shore, where the waves lap gently along polished rocks
And children play
You can hear her heart beating
Softly, like a whisper
(Ole

Ole)

One lone candle with one shinny little star

Together they call out to you your name
